A dozen curlers got together to pose for what has now become all most a tradition among curlers, a fund-raising calendar. Four of the twelve will be competing in PyeoungChang. The 12 curlers are:
- Emma Miskew (Canada)
- Taylor McDonald (Canada)
- Sofia Mabergs (Sweden)
- Eve Muirhead (Scotland)
- Dawn McEwen (Canada)
- Rachel Brown (Canada)
- Daniela Jentsch (Germany)
- Jocelyn Peterman (Canada)
- Anna Sidorova (Russia)
- Jamie Sinclair (USA)
- Joanne Courtney (Canada)
- Chelsea Carey (Canada)
The four who have made it to PyeoungChang are Emma Miskew (Canada), Joanne Courtney (Canada), Sofia Mabergs (Sweden), and Eve Muirhead (Scotland). Jaime Sinclair (USA) will also be there as a commentator for NBC.
Emma Miskew – Canada
Emma is a 29 year old Canadian curler from Ottawa, Canada. She has represented Canada is several international competitions beginning in 2013 but PyeongChang will be the first time she’s represented her country in the Olympics.
Here are pics of her including ones from the calendar.
Jamie Sinclair – US/Canada
Jamie has a curling video blog called “Curl Up With Jaime”. In it she has some fantastic videos that can help educate you about the sport. Here’s a sample (you can see why NBC hired her as a commentator for the Olympics)
Joanna Courtney – Canada
Sofia Mabergs – Sweden
Sofia is a 29 year old Swedish curler from Härnösand, Sweden. She has represented Sweden in several international competitions since 2013 but PyeongChang will be her first Olympic Games. Sofia can be easily recognized on the ice by the extensive tatoo she has on her left arm.
Eve Muirhead – Great Briain
One of the most respected curlers in the world, Eve Muirhead, from Blair Atholl, Scotland, is the 27 year old skip of the Great Britain women’s curling team in PyeoungChang. This will be her third Olympics having represented Great Britain in Vancouver in 2010 and Sochi in 2014. In Sochi she became the youngest ever skip, male or female, to medal in the Olympics when Great Britain won a bronze.
Eve is a very accomplished golfer (she turned down scholarship offers to play collegiately in the US in order to focus on her curling). Here’s a video of a photoshoot she did at the famed Old Course in St Andrews.

Eve has also shown that she’s not afraid to show a little skin (taken from a 2012 Women of Curling Calendar shoot).
