In this post Janet Jackson Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction, sporting events are now broadcast completely on tape delay in the US so wardrobe malfunctions are now a thing of the past. The Athens games introduction had an homage to the original Greek athletes and Olympic Games.
Francesca Piccinini – Italy – Volleyball – Vol III no 3
Francesca a 5’9” 165 lb 25 year old outside hitter on the Italian women’s Olympic Volleyball team who is also one of the more spectacularly beautiful women you will ever see. In addition to playing volleyball she does a significant amount of modeling (often with her clothes off – thank you dear Lord).
Svetlana Khorkina – Russia – Gymnastics – Vol III no 4
At 25 years old and 5’5”, Svetlana is considered by many to be too old and too tall for the sport. That’s good news for us because the rest of the women’s gymnatics world is too young and too innocent to be making an appearance here.
Anastasia Myskina – Russia – Tennis – Vol III no 5
Anastasia gets the nod from UncleLar not only for her tennis play but also for the high priced photos below. Myskina was involved in an $8M lawsuit in an attempt to stop publication of these shots.
Rebel Morrow – Australia – Equestrian – Vol III no 6
How can you not love a girl named “Rebel”. Rebel’s posed with 34 other Aussie athletes in a book called Athens dream. All of the featured athletes had their eyes on getting to Athens for the Olympics. Rebel was one of the fortunate who actually made it.
Amanda Beard – USA – Swimming – Vol III no 7
The photos of Amanda could be considered quite tame compared to many that I’ve usually used. However, I must have been prescient because since 2004 Amanda has done some spectacular photo layouts. Fortunately, she’s on the 2008 squad so you can be sure she’ll make another appearance.
