My prediction coming into the Olympics was that the Russian women’s curling team were going to be the stars of the Olympics.
If you look around the other curling teams, you might find one good looking woman on the team. With the Russians, all four will catch your eye.
Here are some shots of them as a group.
And now some individual shots.
Margarita throws third for the team. Sochi is her second Olympics. She also competed in Vancouver (2010).
Ekatarina throws lead for the team. Sochi will be Ekaterina’s third Olympics. She competed in both Torino and Vancouver.
But the video and photos that you don’t want to miss are:
Alexander is the rookie on the team. She’s a 21 year old who will be appearing in her first Olympics, throwing second.
Some shots of her in action
and some infinitely more interesting ones:
Anna is the 23 year old skip for the Russian women’s curling team. She will be appearing in her 2nd Olympics having made her debut in Vancouver as a 19 year old.
Two of my curling posts from the Vancouver Olympic, “Fire on Ice I” and “Fire on Ice II” were two of the top all-time links on this site. Before this Olympics is over, I expect this post to be right up there too.
The Russians meet the US Women in a televised match tomorrow (Feb 11, 2014) on the USA Network. By the time the day is over, I would expect thousands to have found this post.
